Edward & Rory McHenry
Co-writers & co-directors
From a very early age the Brothers McHenry have been involved in film making (both in front of and behind the camera), having literally grown up on film and television sets. They have developed their amazingly individual style over the last few years, starting with films made in their own backyard. It was at Oxford University whilst studying for his BA in Fine Art that Edward engineered his own concept of film making using action figure rod-puppetry, in a trilogy of short films co-written and produced by himself and Rory. A Baptism Of Fire, a satirical comedy, parodying films such as Born On The Fourth Of July and Apocalypse Now, the screening at Magdalene College, Oxford was attended by 500 people to great acclaim. Jackboots On Whitehall is the brothers’ first feature, using the same technique but pushing the envelope to new heights. And they have lots more to offer up their sleeves...
