Reyes Abades is one the most important Special Effects Technicians in Spain and Europe. He has participated in more than 100 films. He has won 8 Goyas for Best Special Effects for ¡Ay, Carmela!, Beltenebros, Días Contados, El día de la bestia, Tierra, Buñuel y la mesa del rey Salomón, Lobo and Pan's Labyrinth. Some of his most important films are Las Bicicletas son para el verano, Law of Desire, Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!, Vacas, Jamón jamón, Land and Freedom, Death in Granada, Secrets of the Heart, Open Your Eyes, The Devil's Backbone and Goya's Ghosts.
